If Grasshopper has been installed into the (x86) portion of Program Files you can choose to put it somewhere else too, not sure if that would cause a problem. Locate the GrasshopperPlugin.rhp file on your machine and drag+drop it into a running instance of Rhino5 64-bit. You can also manually install Grasshopper.Install Grasshopper.rhi (the latest version ) to see if it appears in Rhino5 this time. This will associate RHI files with the newest version of rhiexec.exe on your machine. and locate the rhiexec.exe program that is located in Program Files\Rhinoceros 5 (64-bit)\System\圆4. Right click on an RHI file in Windows explorer and choose the Open With.RHI has had several serious bugs that should be fixed in Rhino5 SR6. RHI ships with Rhino and if Grasshopper was installed with the one that was part of your 32-bit installation something may have gone wrong. T-Splines I'm sure uses a custom installer instead of RHI. I'd get rid of 32-bit Rhino altogether if possible, it doesn't sound like it's updating correctly. The only reason for having both is if you're a plugin developer who wants to see how your plugin works with both versions, or if you require a specific plugins which only works on different versions. You certainly don't need both 32 and 64 bit.
I was trying to get the area of 20 planar rectangles. Why would Grasshopper disappear when I updated to SR6 (On the 64 bit)? and would there be something affecting GH to make it run so slow? I had a very simple script that needed to sit for 5 min to go through. How is this possible? I thought that when I update the SR that it would update for both. So I checked the 32 bit Rhino and it says SR3. But, again something seemed weird because I checked the SR release earlier when you asked me which one I had. I vaguely remember updating the SR release when I opened Rhino a few days ago. So I checked the SR release on it and it is SR6.
But, Grasshopper is not even a command in 64 bit when I open it now. (I still don't understand why I have a 32 and 64 bit on my computer. I opened it and it opened in Rhino 64 bit. I noticed that the last saved file I have from Rhino was in July where I had been using GH. Grasshopper has been acting unusually slow since I have been using this weekend. I don't usually use this laptop for Rhino and GH but started on a personal project this weekend.
